Standard Cancellation and Refund Policy

Over 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Qualifies for: Entire refund minus administrative costs

Processing Duration: 5-7 working days

Administrative Fee: €50 for card transactions

Prerequisites: Must be requested via written communication or telephone

Between 24 to 72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Qualifies for: Half the total cost of the charter

Processing Duration: 7-10 working days

Administrative Fee: €25 deducted from the refund amount

Prerequisites: A valid cause is required; administrative expenses will be incurred

Fewer than 24 Hours Prior to Charter

No Refund

Qualifies for: No refunds are possible

Exception: Exceptional circumstances may be considered

Alternative: Credit for future charters may be granted at the discretion of the management

Prerequisites: Official proof required for emergency scenarios

Cancellations Due to Weather

Weather Guarantee

Our prime concern is safety. Should our captain, who is certified, determine that conditions are not suitable for sailing, we offer the following flexible options:

  • Total Refund: A full refund will be given if rearranging is not an option
  • Reschedule: Switch your booking to an alternate available slot with no extra charge
  • Charter Credit: A credit note valid for one year from the initial charter date

Procedure for Weather Assessment

The evaluation of the weather encompasses:

  • Examination of wind speeds and directions
  • Assessment of wave heights and the condition of the sea
  • Visibility and forecasted rainfall
  • Coast Guard notices and alerts
  • The safety assessment of our professional captain

Timing for Decisions: Decisions concerning weather cancellations are made no later than 4 hours before the planned departure.

Refunds for Medical Emergencies

Cases of Emergency

We appreciate that medical crises are sometimes unavoidable. The situations below might be eligible for exceptional consideration:

  • Sudden health afflictions or accidents necessitating a hospital visit
  • Notable family bereavement
  • Unforeseen military duties or recall
  • Compulsory civic duties such as jury service or court summons
  • Catastrophic events disrupting travel

Documentation Needed

To process requests related to emergencies, please present:

  • Medical statement or hospital papers
  • Bereavement confirmation (where relevant)
  • Military orders
  • Summons to court or notice of jury duty
  • Travel warnings or state emergency proclamations

Processing: Requests for emergency refunds are managed within 3-5 working days after receipt of the appropriate authentication.

Cancellations Due to Operational Issues

Technical Disruptions

In the event of technical difficulties with the allocated vessel which we are unable to resolve:

  • Alternate Vessel: We will try to arrange a similar substitute
  • Total Refund: Provided if a comparable substitute is not available
  • Partial Refund: Dispensed if the alternative vessel has a different price
  • Compensation: Further compensation might be given for the inconvenience caused

Crew Absence

In the rare instances where the certified crew is unavailable:

  • Replacement crew members will be sought whenever possible
  • Whole refund if the charter is unable to proceed
  • Rescheduling at no extra cost

  • Cash/Cheque: 3-5 working days

Charter Credit Guidelines

Instances for Credit Issuance

Credit notes for charters could be an alternative to reimbursements under these conditions:

  • Last-minute cancellations (less than 24 hours prior)
  • Cancellations related to adverse weather
  • Voluntary changes requested by the customer
  • Operational mishaps

Terms for Credits

  • Validity: 12 months from the date of issue
  • Transferability: Cannot be transferred to other individuals
  • Amount: Equal to the full value of the charter (sans processing costs)
  • Applicability: Redeemable for any future charters that are available
  • Expiry: Extensions beyond 12 months are not permitted

Provisions for Partial Refunds

Service Disruptions

Should your time on the yacht be reduced or discontinued due to reasons we can manage:

  • Reimbursement calculated based on the proportion of unutilized time
  • Credit for a future booking of equivalent value
  • Complimentary services or enhancements

Interruptions Attributed to Guests

If a charter must be ended earlier on account of the guests' actions or breaches of safety:

  • No compensation for the remaining time
  • Payment in full is still required
  • Penalties may be applicable

Resolving Disputes

If there's disagreement regarding a refund judgement, you may:

  • Request a review by our administration
  • Submit further material or proof
  • Seek a solution via consumer rights organizations
  • Exercise legal avenues as permitted by law

We will acknowledge receipt of your request within a day, review it relative to this guideline, inform you of our decision within two days, and will perform the approved to process refunds within the timeframes mentioned above.

  • All requests for refunds need to be made in written form
  • Reimbursement is executed in € regardless of the initial payment currency
  • Acquiring travel insurance is highly advised
  • These guidelines are subject to change with a notice period of 30 days
  • Refunds are in line with pertinent taxes and statutes
